Prologue

The prologue will walk you through the basics of the game and teach you how to: do a quest (with Ser Hugo), buy a building, upgrade a building, produce resources in the village center, produce a weapon from a building, hire a sworn sword and send that sworn sword on an adventure. During the prologue you will also get a title, choose a background, swear fealty to a great house and create a banner for your house. The most important part of of the prologue is choosing a background and swearing a fealty to a great house.

Before you swear a fealty, you should know that each Great House has a fealty building that you will earn at level 13. Each fealty building will give you stats for one or two of the three main categories (Battle, Trade or Intrigue) as well as produce items that are specific to that house. In order to earn all 8 of the fealty buildings you must reincarnate 7 times, so it is best to save the house that you most want to be in for last, unless you only want to be one fealty through the entire game (which trust me, you don’t). A breakdown of the backgrounds and houses can be found here, and a walkthrough of some useful reincarnation “paths” can be found here.

Notes:

  • You can choose to reincarnate any time after you finish Volume 1, so the decision of whether or not you want to reincarnate can be held off for as long as you like (though early reincarnations are advised if you want to be a strong player in the game)
  • All of the actions in the prologue are shortened, but after the prologue actions can be sped up using food or drink that can be made or purchased. The last 5 minutes of any action can always be sped up for free (except for player to player and alliance vs alliance interactions)
  • If one of your main goals is to hatch a baby dragon (the dragon egg is always available for 53 gold in the shop) you have to reincarnate 5 times, but all 7 are encouraged

The prologue moves quickly and some things are hard to catch, you can address any questions that you have here, on the chat, in the skype room or on the Facebook page. I am more than happy to provide visual walkthroughs of anything for anyone that needs one
